After enjoying an early breakfast, your safari driver/guide will collect you from your hotel in either Entebbe or Kampala. From there, you will be transported to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, a remarkable UNESCO World Heritage site in Uganda. This park is renowned for being the habitat of the few remaining mountain gorillas, as well as hosting a diverse array of bird species. During the journey, you will have the opportunity to stop for lunch either at Igongo Cultural Centre or at Agip. Once refreshed, you will continue your journey towards the park, with the aim of arriving in the evening. This will allow you to settle in, enjoy a delicious dinner, and spend the night in the park, preparing for the upcoming adventures. Accomodation will be provided at Birdnest @Bunyonyi (Semi-luxury), Arcadia cottages (Mid-range) and Crater Bay cottages (Budget)

Today is the highly anticipated day that you have been eagerly awaiting. You will rise early, enjoy a satisfying breakfast, and then be accompanied by your guide who will drive you to the park offices. Here, you will receive a comprehensive briefing on gorilla tracking, including important guidelines to ensure a memorable and respectful experience. Following the briefing, you will embark on an adventure into the dense rainforest as you begin your trek to encounter the majestic gorillas. This incredible experience of coming face to face with these endangered mountain gorillas is truly unforgettable, especially considering that Uganda is one of only three countries where they can be found, with a significant portion residing here. During the trek, you will be accompanied by experienced and knowledgeable guides from Uganda Wildlife Authority. The duration of the trek can vary from 2 to 7 hours, as the location of the gorillas depends on their previous night's resting place. Once you locate them, you will have the rare privilege of spending an hour observing and admiring their presence. Afterward, you will move to another area for a well-deserved lunch before returning to the park offices for a brief ceremony. In the evening, you will be transported back to your lodge where you can enjoy a delicious dinner and settle in for a restful overnight stay. Journey Time: Approximately 8 hours

Upon arrival at the lodge, you will indulge in a delicious lunch. Following the meal, you will embark on a guided motorized boat excursion, exploring the various islands and learning about their significance, including the intriguing Punishment Island and the rich history of the area. After the boat trip, you will return to the lodge for a delectable dinner and spend the night in comfort.
